The Castration of Ouranos was a planned attack on the Protogenoi of the sky, Ouranos. As revenge for his mistreatment of his and his wife Gaia's children, Gaia sends her son Kronos, armed with a powerful weapon to strip the sky god of his strength and power. Kronos then filled the power vacuum left behind, allowing himself and the Titans to take control of the Cosmos.

Background

Mother Earth and Father Sky

The Earth goddess, Gaia, and her son Ouranos, the god of the sky, had several children together. Their first set of children were the beautiful Titans whom Gaia and Ouranos both loved. They decided to have more kids together, however, their second and third sets of children were heinous monsters that disappointed Ouranos.

Banishment of Gaia's Children

Hating and fearing his monstrous children, the Tartalo and Hecatoncheries, Ouranos banishes them to the far reaches of the Void, where he and everyone else will never have to see them again. He also curses them so that they cannot come back of their own power.

Gaia's Plan

This section needs a rewrite

Gaia, despite their appearances, loved all of her children and hated what Ouranos did to them. After pleading with their husband to release them, to no avail, only leading into a huge argument that shook the Void to is core, Ouranos left Gaia for a while in anger. Alone, Gaia came up with a plan to get back at Ouranos.

She created a large adamantine scythe and went to her Titan children, asking them would they use the weapon to strip Ouranos of his power. All refused except for her youngest son, Kronos who agreed without question. Gaia made it known, that in exchange for him taking over the Cosmos, he must release the Tartalo and Hecatoncheries.

Castration of Ouranos

Armed with the Harvesting Scythe, Kronos hid in his parent's chambers. When Ouranos eventually returned to Gaia, Kronos, leaped out to him and used the weapon to slice off his genitals, flinging them into the Void. Ouranos writhed in pain as his strength and powers drained from his Avatar like blood.

The blow to the Protogenos sent a shockwave through the entire Void, causing major devastation to the surroundings. As Ouranos faded away, he used the last of his strength to curse Kronos to meet the same fate he did. After this Ouranos lost his physical form, becoming completely imperceptible to others as an invisible, intangible spirit.

Aftermath

The Golden Age

The the Harvesting Scythe in hand and his sister Rhea by his side as his queen, Kronos took over as King of the Cosmos. When asked by Gaia is he would release the Tartalo and Hecatoncheries, he refused, wanting to keep those monsters far way from him and his beautiful kingdom. While the Titans thrived, the Tartalo and Hecatoncheries were soon locked away into Tartarus after its creation.

Big Crunch

When Ouranos was castrated, the shockwave of the Sky Father's attack echoed through the Void, prematurely ending several universes. One Universe was the Nexus Universe which collapsed when the shockwave hit it and altered Merlin's Cosmic Manipulator.

Ouranos last Offspring

As Ouranos' blood spilled across the Void, it soon gave life to several more entities embodying his last thoughts. The Furies were spawned, embodying Ouranos' anger, and want for revenge. Then the Gigantes, representations of the strength and power Ouranos lost, were formed. Ouranos' Avatar crumbled and from the dust rose the Meliae, the primordial Ents and the first of the Nymphs.
