History
Dark Creations
Daughter of Death
As part of a deal Thanatos made with his former father Yahweh, Death's Wife and Daughter, the first Umbrums, were allowed entry into Heaven so long as he became the Grim Reaper. However, Death's Daughter did not like the Ether, preferring her home in the Dark Dimension, and so she ran away, eventually making her new home in the currently uninhabited Realm of Darkness.
Dwarves and Dark Elves
Feeling lonely in the vast darkness of the realm, Tanda Sa decided to use her access to Dark Magic to create other creatures to inhabit the realm. She settled on the planet Myrkheim where she created fourteen creatures in total, seven Dwarves and seven Dark Elves. Together they quickly spread across Myrkheim and worshiped Tanda as their queen.
Dwarves vs Elves
The Dark Elves and the Dwarves hated each other and as the numbers of both races grew that hatred only persisted. The Dark Elves being a hemophagic species, would every so often kidnap, kill, and consume the blood of a member of the Dwarves. This lead to the dwarves hiding underground and constructing elaborate cave systems what will soon be called Nidavellir. Not being able to find the Dwarves, the Dark Elves were forced off of the planet in hopes of finding more sources for blood.

Expansion
Without the Dark Elves getting in their way, the Dwarves took control of Myrkheim, expanding the lands of Nidavellir across the entire planet.
