Eternals are powerful deities who see themselves as royalty. They are known for presiding over fundamental aspects of the universe. In some cases being spiritually connected to those aspects. They are the second tier of deities born from the first tier, the Primordials.
Characteristics
The Eternals are humanoid spirits with great power and intense bodies. Their true forms are often deadly to lesser life forms with weaker physical forms. Because of this, Eternals tend to use shapeshifting cloaks to hide their true forms. Because of this, these Deities can look like anything or anyone they please. However, Eternals often choose human, humanoid, or animal forms. They are very powerful creatures with connections to aspects of nature or reality, able to manipulate those aspects at will.
Powers
- Apotheosis Condition: The Eternals are the middle branch of deity in the Universe. More powerful than Numens but less than the Protogenoi. As a class of god, the Eternals possess great power and authority over the Universe and the lesser entities within it.
- Immortality: As their name suggests, Eternals are very long lived, not fully immortal, but incapable of dying by normal means. The oldest Eternals, the Ogdoad, are older than the Multiverse itself and have not aged since their birth and are mostly still in their prime.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: It is nearly impossible for an Eternal to be harmed by any manor of weaponry. At most, it would be a slight inconvenience if someone were to attack them. Only their own kind can do any lasting damage to an Eternal and those wounds would be non lethal and quickly healed.
- Shapeshifting: In their true forms, Eternals can bring lesser lifeforms to madness, if not completely obliterate them on sight. Because of this, they use humanoid Avatars to interact with the world of mortals or manifest themselves as inanimate objects or animals. An Eternal can chose how their Avatars look at will, allowing them to look like anything or anyone they please.
- Psionics: Because of their strong mental capacity and magical potential, Eternals have the ability to use a great deal of Psionic Abilities.
- Astral Projection: [To Be Expanded]
- Telepathy: Eternals can communicate with others from great distances using their minds. This power is so strong, that they can communicate with those in completely different realms and dimensions with ease. Those on the receiving end of their telepathic message feel as though the Eternal is right in front of them no matter how far away they actually are.
- Telekinesis: Eternals can manipulate their environments without the need to physically touch it. They most often use this power to summon their weapons to them if they are to lose them.
- Teleportation: Eternals can easily traverse the Universe by teleporting from place to place, or in special circumstances, conjuring portals to wherever they please.
Eternal Races
Anemoi
Main Article: Anemoi
The Anemoi are powerful, spiritual beings who embody the seasons and the four winds. Of the Eternal races, the Anemoi are the only ones who truly embody the concepts they preside over, and as such, do not posses physical forms, relying solely on Avatars. Despite this, they make up for their metaphysical forms by having a stronger connection to their domains and by far more control and power over them.
