The Creature World Glossary is a collection of terms in the Magical Community that is commonly used but commonly misunderstood. This page will feature terms from The Creature World and pair them with multiple definitions for that term.

Alignment

  1. The overall position a character has on the side of good and evil.

Allfather

  1. The male leader, ruler, or literal father, of a particular pantheon

Allmother

  1. The female leader, ruler, or literal mother, of a particular pantheon
  2. Queen of the Gods

Alpha Monster

  1. The first being or group of beings of a particular monster race, often being the progenitor of the rest of that specific race

Amrit

  2. a negatively charged positive molecule

Apocalypse

  1. The end of the world
  2. The destruction of a planet, land, or civilization beyond the point where it can return to normal.

Arcane

  1. A widespread and easy form of Light Magic any creature can learn how to manipulate. It is the Magic wielded by Witches and Fairies.

Armageddon

  1. Also known as Revelations, The Judeo-Christian Apocalypse that destroys the Earth and the realm of Heaven and Hell, and nearly wipes out the Heavenly and Demonic Hosts

Asgardian

  1. The demonym of Asgard
  2. Anyone who lives in the city of Asgard including the Æsir, Vanir, Trolls, and Fomorians.

Astral

  1. The humanoid projection of the soul of an individual
  2. Relating to spirits, the Astral Plane, or the soul

Astral Plane

  1. Also called the Spiritual Plane or Ancestral Plane, it is the metaphysical plane of existence that is home to spirits

Automaton

  1. Upright animal-like entities that is almost humanoid in biology.

Behemoth

  1. Primeval beast of the land destined to fight the Leviathan during

Bifröst

  1. The prismatic collection of wormholes embodying Yggdrasill and manned by the Vanir god Heimdall. It connects the Nine Realms together as well as the planet Avalon whose inhabitants call it the Second Star to the Right.

Big Bang

  1. An event that results from a Cosmic Singularity being infused with Celestial Magic explodes into a new universe
  2. A massive explosion in the Void that simultaneously results in the birth of a Universe

Big Bounce

  1. An event that results from a universe that previously suffered from a Big Crunch goes through a rebirth into another new Universe

Big Crunch

  1. An event that occurs when a universe suddenly stops expanding, either naturally or artificially, before collapsing back into a Cosmic Singularity

Big Freeze

  1. An event that occurs when a universe expands to the point where light and heat takes too long to travel between galaxies, stars, and planets, causing them go dark and freeze over

Big Rip

  • An event that occurs when a universe expands too quickly, causing it to fall apart, destroying it
  • When Khaos manages to fully tear a Universe apart from its universal pores

Black Hole

  1. A region of space that is of near infinite density, and therefore gravity, to the point that not even light can escape from it

Burn Out

  1. When a fictional character enters the Real World and loses their link to their reality, causing them to fade out of existence permanently

Cambion

  1. A Celestial Hybrid between a mortal and a demon

Cancellation

Main Article: Cancellation

  1. An event that occurs when the Creators of a work of fiction stop their production of that work, leaving it abandoned if its not left open ended. The abandoned project, after five years, will be deleted by the Creator Cosmos to make room for newer creations

Cannibalistic Creature

  1. Any creature that feeds and/or subsists on the flesh, blood, or vital essence of other living creatures

Canon

  1. Having something fully exist inside of the larger story, world, or multiverse without the presence of a plot hole

Catalyst

  1. Something or someone that causes a change to occur

Catalyst Comet

  1. A celestial body that reincarnates strikes the Earth roughly every thousand years, bringing with it an agent of change

  1. A large object in space
    • i.e. Planets, Stars, Asteroids, and Moons

Celestial Entity

  1. The highest level of supernatural beings, including Angels and Demons, who are esoteric in nature and are often comprised of fire and light. They are Multiversal Beings, meaning they are above all timelines

Centaur

  1. Also known as Centaurids, They are hybrid creatures that are humanoid from the waist up and some form of animal from the waste down.
    • i.e. Merrows, Satyrs, and Minotaurs
  2. The common name given to Horse Centaurs, the Kentauros.

Cera

  1. Melted sheets of the universes' outer membrane and bleeds into the Ginnungagap as it expands, eventually condensing into a purple and pink radioactive reality warping compound.
  2. Liquid Chaos Magic.

Changeling

  1. Magical creatures, often Faeries, who disguise themselves as humans to spy and relay information about humans for the Magical Community (Mother Timeline, Noir Timeline)
  2. Insectoid Equine-like entities who kidnaps and replace the love ones of individuals by shapeshifting into them, and feeding on the love of that person feels for the kidnapped victim (Meta Timeline/My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)
  3. A separate species of Dark Faerie that disguises themselves as humans to spy on them (Skirmish Timeline)

Chaoskampf

  1. A mythological motif where a force of light and good, often a sky god or allfather, goes up against a force of evil, often a dragon or serpent.

Charm

  1. A form of Magical Enchantment that has helpful or regenerative consequences on its victim.

Chimaera

  1. A hybrid creature with no humanoid elements, often with three or more animal forms combined into one form.

Classical Mythology

Cloak

  1. A type of limited shapeshifting possessed by certain subspecies of Faerie, namely Elves, that involves altering the color and texture of their scales to appear like human skin and hair

Clone

  1. A genetic copy of an organic lifeform, often an identical copy.

Conjecture

  1. An article on the wiki whose subject is about a character, location, creature, etc., form a source where it was not initially named, but given a name to fill out a page and the wiki. This name is not official to the source material and can or will be changed if the official name is revealed

Continuity

  1. Maintaining the information of a character or location's history and its changes over time.
  2. Keeping sets and characters in the proper location between shots and cuts, a mistake of which is called a Continuity Error.

Contrivance

  1. Deliberate choices within a story that allows for specific occurrences without them feeling natural or planned in universe by the characters

Cosmic Entity

  1. The three eldest and most powerful beings in the multiverse responsible for its creation, militainment, and eventual destruction

Cosmic Membrane

  1. The outer shell present in all Universes protecting it from the harmful Void outside of it

Cosmology

  1. The study of the creation and structure of the cosmos and/or universe

Cosmonaut

  1. The name of the species of Catalysts and Leanan Sidhes, very powerful Multiversal Entities that can go against the words of the Creators

Cosmos

  1. Also known as the Omniverse, it is the whole of existence; all realities, timelines, and multiverses created by the Externals.

Coven

  1. A group of magic users, often Witches, who practice and use magic together for a unified goal.

Creation Spark

  • A ball of light created by the Author and can be manipulated by Cosmonauts. They are the culmination of a fictional character, their entire history, condensed into a small star-like artifact.

Creature

  1. Used in place of the word "monster," It is an entity that is distinct from Humans, namely Terrans, often with enhanced abilities when compared to Terrans, and the ability to manipulate Magic.

Crossroads

  1. A realm that acts as a midway point between life and death as well as the land of the living and the afterlife.

Cryptid

  1. Creatures that many Terrans believe may exist due to shreds of evidence, but are not recognized as a real animal or organism in science.
    • i.e. Yetis, Sasquatches, and Wendigos

Curse

  1. A form of Enchantment or Spell that is almost always detrimental to its target and/or its host.

Cutie Mark

  1. A magical pattern of fur that forms near the rear ends of pony races in Equestria that acts as a representation of the Equestrians' unique talent.

Cyborg

  1. A living entity who is part organics and part machine

Dark Energy

  1. An invisible source of primordial energy that comprises the majority of the Multiverse including outer space, the Dark Dimension, the Void, and the Ginnungagap that is able to be manipulated by Dark Energy Creatures including Umbrums and Dark Elves. It is a corruptor as the primary ingredient that makes Dark Magic inherently evil

Dark Matter

Main Article: Dark Energy

  1. Solidified Dark Energy that comprises the blood and/or bodies of Dark Energy Creatures such as Umbrums and Dark Elves
  2. An invisible particle that blends into the darkness of space that manipulates light and gravity across the Universe

Dark One

  1. The only known entity in the Multiverse that can manipulate the Darkness

Darkness

  1. A primordial cosmic occurrence created by the Entity that corrupts anything and everything it touches. It is the source of evil in the Multiverse and is best known for being able to completely and permanently delete anything from reality

Dead World

  1. A metaphysical Multiversal Realm that holds the souls of the deceased

  1. A shaper, manipulator and, to a lesser extent, controller and creator of the material world

  1. Abbreviated to DT; a substance similar to Magic that naturally accumulates in Humans that lets their souls persist after death

  1. An unfortunate form of sexual monomorphism within Elves causing both males and females to look indistinguishable from each other, appearing as feminine, In their natural forms, and all elven children regardless of cloaking look female.

Embodiment

  1. Of an individual or artifact, being the highest culmination of a concept or idea to such a degree, that if they did not exist, neither does the concept they personify

Enchant

  1. Using Magic to enhance a person or object with either a good charm or a bad curse

Enochian

  1. Related to or originating from the Heavenly Host, specifically Angels
  2. The primary written and spoken language of the Heavenly Host

Entropy

  1. The fundamental principal that states that time only flows in one direction; that what has been done cannot be undone
  2. The slow decline of the universe until everything in the Multiverse is uniform, returning to darkness

Eon

  1. The average life expectancy of a Universe or Multiverse
  2. The length of time the Universe preceding the current one existed for before dying

Equestrian

Esoteric

  1. Something that is difficult or impossible for most people to comprehend, or is only comprehendible to a small few

  1. A Celestial Hybrid with the power of God in the body of a Terran

  1. A powerful magic user with the unique ability to exist above the written word of the Creators, having complete free will and nigh-omnipotent power

  1. A story timeline that separates itself from others by have most if not all of its inhabitance know that they are fictional characters in a fictional universe

  2. The technical name for a baby Faerie

  1. A race of Eternal who composes the majority of the Greek Pantheon and are the current rulers and protectors of the universe preceded by the Titians

Ophanim

  1. Massive ring-like Celestial Entities who act as the protectors and hype-men of the Heavenly Host

Opposers

  1. A descriptor for anything and most often anyone from the Opposite Universe that has has Prime Universe counterpart

Ouroboros

  1. A symbol of a snake eating its own tail as a representation of the infinite cycle of life and death
