Witches, known as Warlocks if they are male are a common race of Inhuman native to Earth and Discordia. Often referred to as Wizards, they are magically gifted humanoids that dominate the Magical Community. Witches were formerly ruled and enslaved by Author the Terrible but now fall under the Wizard Council's dominion.

Witches are based on the creatures of the same name from Dana Terrace's The Owl House and the Disney Channel Original Movie Halloweentown, as well as on Wizards from Todd J. Greenwald's Wizards of Waverly Place.

Characteristics

Witches are humanoid beings that are a hybrid race between Human and an Elf. Unlike High Elves, however, Witches are more closely related to Humans. Like Humans, Witches are physical beings of average heights, hair color, and eye color. Typically, Witches have longer nails and larger eyes than other Humans. Powerful Witches can also have gem-like protrusions on their bodies often emanating from their chests, above their Magic Bile Sacs, on their hands, where their magic is expressed, or on their faces, often acting as a physical manifestation of their 'third eye.'

While appearing mostly Human on the outside, Witches have more notable differences inside of them. Witches possess specialized organ attached to their hearts equivalent to the Mystokinetic Gland in Faeries that Witches use to actively channel magic into themselves. If a Witch leans more towards a Faerie genetically, they will be born with pointed ears.

Powers

  • Witch/Warlock Physiology: Wizards are humanoid spellcasters known for being able to warp reality, although very limited, produce potions, as well as cast, make, and alter spells with ease.
    • Longevity: Unlike most other creatures, Witches are not immortal and will inevitably die of old age. However, compared to other Humans, they can live for much longer. The average life span of a Witch is in the upper hundreds, and they can easily use magic to extend their lives almost indefinitely.
    • Clairvoyance: Witches are able to sense things around themselves, even the intentions of people they meet, or if someone or something is approaching them. Especially for younger Witches, they are able to sense when someone near by is a threat to them or others. Experienced Witches are able to feel when someone thinks about them or is coming to visit them.
      • Precognition: Powerful Witches can see into the future in the same way an Oracle can, however with more control. Unlike Oracles though, Witches require a small ritual in order to perceive the future.
    • Mystokinesis: Most notably, Witches are able to channel Magic into themselves through their Bile Sacs and churn it into usable Mana. Their power is focused into and through their hands and can be strengthened with the use of a wand or other Magical Enhancer.
      • Telekinesis: Using their Magic, Witches can manipulate items with their mind. However, they can only use their telekinesis to move things they would be able to lift normally. If what they try to lift is too large or heavy, more magic will be used to maintain lift while also causing the body to become rapidly fatigued.
      • Telepathy: Especially between other Witches and those who are very powerful, Witches can use their minds to speak with others
      • Shapeshifting: [To Be Added]

Weaknesses

  • Lack of Magic: Unlike other Magic wielders, Witches do not channel magic passively, instead having to consciously absorb magic as they need it, constantly leaving them in a state of need.
    • Magic Bile: When their magic is channeled, it has to be used quickly otherwise the Mana with poison the Witch and damage their Mystokinetic Gland, their heart, lungs, stomach, and overall ability to control their magic in the future.
  • Excalibur: Like the Vorpal Sword to Faeries, Excalibur is a special sword designed as a magical deadly weapon for all physical magical creatures like Witches. A single scratch can lead to a slow, painful, and almost unavoidable death to the afflicted.
  • Iron: While Witches are able to physically touch iron, unlike other Faeries, their powers are still dampened by being in its presence. Prolonged exposure to iron can cause a Witches magic to fizzle out entirely.
